The Ideological Limitations of Microsoft Word

... and what they mean for our society.

The following words are not recognized by Microsoft Word:

Commodification

Ecofeminism

Postmodernity

Effectivity

Unfree

Complementarity

Commeasurate

Therefore, Microsoft Word, part of a technological empire exclusively available to and therefore used by millions of students, fails to encourage the tenets of a new paradigm (ecofeminism, complementarity) while refusing to acknowledge the current manner in which we unwittingly exist (commodified, unfree).

Addendum (4/30/08):
Other isn't recognized, as one Other states; proclaiming "they don't want us to know!" Duly noted.
Hyperreality also goes the way of the red squiggly, suggesting the fact that our existences are constructs ultimately up for philosophical grabs is just another concept that the feisty little manipulator of all our wires and virtual personae can't bear to allow us access to.

you can add "Othered" to that list. there's even one of the green, grammatical error lines under Other.

(They don't want us to know!!)
